Woman fatally stabbed and another injured in Newham, east London

  1. That’s really close to Maryland station. I love that I’m trying to buy an £800k property there, whilst people are being murdered.

  2. The two women (one in her 30s and the other in her 50s) were attacked at about 3am Sunday morning ‘at a home in Windmill Lane’ – so I’m going to assume they’re flatmates for now as it would probably say if they were mother and daughter.

The police say the man is known to both women but haven’t yet released any details on who he is.

I’ll hazard a guess it’s the partner of one of the women – or if they *are* mother and daughter, it could be a family member. Domestic violence is usually behind situations like these where people are in their home and it’s the middle of the night.

Just wanted to add this because some of comments here are already suggesting this is a ‘london thing’ or that there’s a racial aspect to it, when based on the limited info we have, it’s far more likely to be the actions of a violent abuser.

I hope the woman in her 30s is able to recover from her injuries soon and gets justice for what happened to her and the lady who sadly died 🙁

  3. Why is it when Newham end up in the news it’s either a stabbing, shooting, rape or other nasty crime?

Oh, yeah stay the fuck out of Newham and do all you can to get the fuck out.

  4. Live down this road. Wonder where abouts on the road it was. Quite a varied mix of housing. Wonder if it was drug related. Family members. Awful story really.

Been meaning to find a new place to live for a while. Maybe she can be the spur to do so.
