I’d say charge these anti-vaxxers for hospitalization in full out of their own damn pocket. After all, play stupid games and win stupid prizes, or this shit will keep occurring ad nauseam.
I read the headline as “[…] also refuse **doctors**” and was confused. Well, more confused.
I wonder why they go to the hospital in the first place then? For emotional support?
Then throw them out. Problem solved!
There are still religions that forbid drugs and vaccines but allow the use of ventilators.
Or maybe they just want to not make a mess at home when they pass.
A day in ICU costs tax payers 3000 euros. On average the hospitalized corona case in Finland has 10-12 ICU days, so it’s 30-40k euros and takes time away from patients who take care of themselves.
Sounds like they are doing us a favor

“Men aged 40-60 typical Covid ICU patients” so men of a certain age who think they know better than experts *even after it bites them in the ass* are the problem here… that’s a common theme when any needlessly politicized issue becomes divisive.
I’m wondering if there’s also a correlation between anti-vaccine and political affiliation in Finland? Ex. in the US anti-vaxxers are [likelier to support](https://www.ft.com/content/39ff87ce-57b7-4007-9504-7eb2c7bc911f) Trump or the Republican Party because they’ve been effectively brainwashed.
That said, (and speaking of effective brainwashing) why are there still ANY religious grounds for non-vaccination anywhere on Earth?
There’s a lot of medical abuse and neglect in the name of religion across the world, by extremist faith groups of all stripes (Laestadianism, Catholicism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormonism, Orthodox Judaism, Orthodoxy, some branches of Lutheranism and certain branches of Islam among many more etc.)
The one thing all the faith groups share (and indeed even more not listed!) is that they are typically led by that same “problem child” 40-60 male demographic who are currently filling hospital beds spreading sickness by ignoring mandates to worship in groups and using their platforms to exert power and control on their followers.
