  1. Bah, that’s not really “big”. The Internet brings out the village idiots everywhere. 😉

And Geneva changing “Place neuve” (new square) to “Place de Neuve” (square of the destroyed city door once called “Neuve”), sooo pedantic.

  2. Buncha idiots… they might as well be holding a sign and shouting “we love sars-cov-2” and “we dont want the pandemic to end”.

  3. Couldn’t help but read OP’s name and think damn, at least our 4th wave is better than what happens in RO. Fucking conspiracy stories are really making a dent in our country, but over there it’s a fucking car crash.

  4. Meanwhile a big pro mask pro vaccine demonstration is occurring mostly everywhere else. It’s just more quiet and less spectacular.

  5. Saw a steady number of them at the Place des Nations, hanging outside the UN Office not long ago. I wonder if they wore masks when travelling from Place de Neuve to Place des Nations to protest?!

  6. I’d expect a lot more people to show up considering pre-covid everyone and his mother was always pulling the privacy card here.

  7. As far as I understood it, the protest wasn’t antimask/antivax, but rather against the restrictive regulations in correlation with the covid pass.

But, of course, many of the people present might against the use of masks and the (non mandatory) vaccination too.

  8. Since when this reddit became a place for boycott, it’s shameful.
Let those who believe in their rights show it, good for them they went out to protest.and it wasn’t anti mask, it was anti green pass, it’s a big difference

  9. I would gladly join an anti-mask rally… but not an anti-vax one (I’m of the opinon everyone should vaccinate… but that’ just my opinon).

My tuppence: all the people who will get vaccinated have been offered a vaccine by now (in Switzerland). Numbers won’t go significantly up, no matter what we do (short of forcing vaccines, which would be unconstitutional). So let’s set a date in future – say Dec 1st – at which point we go back to normal. No masks, no certs, nothing. If you want to get vaccinated by then, great. If not, great. That said, on that date – it’s back to normal. If you get covid, and aren’t vaccinated – tough. Only downside is the immunocompromised and the sudden rush on hospitals a few weeks later, but we can deal with the second with some planning…
