Biden admin holds back extra military aid to Kyiv amid diplomatic push

  1. I would rather wait for the larger budget and not give Putin an excuse to get rid of diplomatic talks.

From the article the reason seems reasonable

Assuming all these “sources said” are correct

  2. Who’s surprised? The US can’t afford the fight. There’s no will in America to fight the Russians. On the right, the yanks have become russophiles and the left are anti-war and would rather look inwards at Americans internal problems. There’s no constituency in the US which will support a war with Russia right now.

  3. Pushing extra military aid to Kiev is the wrong signal to de-escalate the situation. Putin has sent a message loud and clearly with our strategy shuffling of forces within Russia. The message has been heard, the CIA head rushed to Moscow to try and figure out what’s going on and Biden held calls with Putin. We’ve made our conditions and terms clear. They know that if they don’t ease off Western military presence and aid, we’ll ramp up the heat on Ukraine and they won’t be sending their soldiers to fight and die on the front.

  4. European Nato members have vetoed Ukraine Nato membership since G.W. Bush tried to pull Ukraine into Nato in 2008 because they know that Russia would have to react. Nothing has changed about that situation.
