Hi all, this is a map I’ve been working for a little over a month now, which tracks the location, date and outcome of stabbings across the UK. At the time of writing, I’ve recorded 180 stabbings in which 203 people were stabbed. I intend to continue to update this map and I update it daily.

  1. How can more people be stabbed than the number of stabbings? If someone stabs up a crowd is that classed as a single stabbing? Because if we’re walking down the road and all get stabbed do we say we had a stabbing, no we part of four or however many stabbings, not a stabbing.

  2. Fuck sake man.

I opened that and optimistically thought “that’s not TOO many pins”

Then read “data from Oct 21”. Jesus christ 🙁

  3. Maybe you could do a map like this that shows MPs who received large donations and how they are linked to the donors and what the bribes paid for in terms of policy and access.

  4. Either you’ve not got to it yet or my ghetto-ass Blackburn has had no stabbings. Seems we only do shootings

  5. Looks good, however where are you getting your data from?

I’m a defence lawyer and looked at the city I work in: a few stabbings are missing!

  6. Hi all, thought I would come back to clear some things up.

It’s my fault for not clearing this up entirely, but this map shows stabbings from the 25th October until now, a little over a month, So, if there is a stabbing that I’ve missed from then, please do reply to this comment and let me know, thanks 🙂

And the data on the map is simply from trawling through news reports, I’ll never be able to pick up every single stabbing, especially since many go unreported.

    Thanks,

    Clouhhdy.

  7. I’ve always wondered why people put on shoes, coat, wallet, and oh, knife, when leaving the house to go out. I mean, when you pick the knife up in that moment what mind bending thoughts and world are you living in?

  8. Missing one in Portsmouth happened by the War Memeorial on southsea guy got stabbed and sent to hospital

  9. Seems to be incomplete, unless this is for this year, but there was two stabbings over in Rathbone Market in Newham, last year there was a stabbing up by East Ham Townhall, couple more over in Stratford, you only have ONE stabbing in Newham.

Naturally, this is clearly incomplete, Good luck with the map

(Above might be Fares Maatou that was already linked, but there was two stabbings near Rathbone market, a week apart)

  10. South Essex should be a bumper crop when the OP gets that data. In addition to the death of our local MP it’s been stab city around Leigh-on-Sea for much of the summer. Apparently gangs were coming down from East London to fight on the seafront – so very nostalgic of them.

  11. given teh density of pips it looks like parliament would be right at home with my idea of making them move to wigan.
