  1. Hi everyone. Sorry if this type of post is inappropriate for the sub, but its a pro-social action!

In the latest WHO data, [suicide rates in Belgium were 11th highest in the world](https://app.powerbi.com/view?r=eyJrIjoiMWJhN2E5OGQtNGUzNS00MzIzLTgxYzYtNWQ3YjEyMDRiOThkIiwidCI6ImY2MTBjMGI3LWJkMjQtNGIzOS04MTBiLTNkYzI4MGFmYjU5MCIsImMiOjh9). In 2020, the rate of depression and anxiety in Belgium increased to [the highest levels in at least 20 years](https://www.statista.com/topics/6518/mental-health-in-belgium/). The Community Help Service is at the front line of this mental health crisis, offering the English-speaking community in Belgium access to a free, 24-hour mental health support line (026484014). As you may know, volunteers staff this service, and CHS relies on donations to operate. To celebrate CHS’s 50-year anniversary supporting the international community, we are inviting people to raise money through a walking event — 50 km for 50 years. All you have to do is walk, run, bike, (or hop, skip and jump if you like!) your way to 50 km leading up to the 17 of October, and have those kilometres sponsored!
