  1. [Poe’s Law](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe%27s_law) is always quite amusing when people can’t tell the difference between an extremist who they disagree with and someone who’s satirising and parodying an extremist who they disagree with.

But it’s kind of sad when they manage to get this kind of confusion among the people who are on their own side. The Daily Mail were the ones agitating for Brexit and they support the Tories.

It’s one thing if people who spend their time campaigning against the Tories think, “this guy wants us to swim in shit? That sounds like the kind of thing the evil Tories would want” but it’s another for the Daily Mail to say, “we all want to swim in shit if it means we’re allowed to be a bit racist? Yeah, that sounds like what we think.”

  2. Sir Michael Take CBE is a shining light at the top of our political hierarchy… His opinion transcends party lines… Truly a generational MP

  3. DM knows its fake. They quote it because they know it will generate clicks. Whether people click it to laugh or be outraged, they don’t care – a click is a click.

  4. “The Daily Mail’s dependability for reputable, well-sourced journalism took another hit this weekend after the newspaper quoted a parody account in an article about sewage dumping at UK beaches.”

    It’s what now?

Kind of reads like someone has taken a few too many hits of something.
