Why do southern irish hate nordies?
I’m a nordie who’s lived in Dublin for 6 years and I just know some southerners assume the worst when they hear the accent. You can tell from their face and attitude. They think you’re a big orange man even though they don’t realise majoirty of loyalist wouldn’t go down south only Irish nordies want to live south or go to school there
Mick McCarthy was also treated the exact same way by Irish media. Compare how both were treated to the way Stephen Kenny is currently being viewed. If either O’Neill or McCarthy teams performed like Kenny’s Irish team the Irish media would be screaming for them to be sacked! We love our soccer players/ managers even more when they’re “our type” of Irish. Irish media are disgraceful and gormless and discriminatory.
