It’s really ironic, the peace treaty and conditions for Germany were… Surprisingly lenient. It’s like allies really *really* wanted Germany to become modern state, yet we somehow get a myth about strict deal that resulted in WW2 due to resentment.
Compare deal Germany got to deal Austria-Hungary got, or deal that Germany imposed on Russia. In both cases the loser countries were *literally dismantled*. But not Germany. It’s funny, it’s ironic but this leniency might be the reason for WW2.
