  1. Es ist Mittwoch meine mennen.

Did my two years of German in high school treat me well f(v)olks?

Can I keep up with der junge von 🇩🇪 when it comes to krispy memes?

Tbh, I didn’t pay as much attention as I should have, but I know enough to get by across the pond.

  2. Digga solche videos sind so sus. Ich will doch nur das diese Geringverdiener mal Papatastischen content machen der wild ist. Das ist nur cringe. Einfach lost man. Aber manche wörter sind schon akkurat, sheesh

  3. gotta admit we’ve been saying “digga” way too often for like 5 years now. I don’t think it will go away anytime soon as it has replaced words like “alter, junge, bro etc.”.

wild, same and Mittwoch are “akkurat” too, although I don’t know why Mittwoch is on that particular list as there’s no other way to say Wednesday…

  4. Quick heads up from an 18yo German. Don’t bother spending time on papatastisch. Every year there is at least one word in the competition that let’s the entire German youth ask themselves how it got there.

  5. If anyone takes what OP is saying seriously. It‘s not. People are making fun of them because:

    1. the only real word from 2020/2021 here is sus, everything else is old as fuck
    2. Nobody says any of these words except cringe and digga.
    3. It‘s basically boomers trying to comprehend the youth
    4. Papatastisch.

  6. “Papatastisch” is from the community of some brain dead Twitch streamer. I’ve never heard someone with an IQ above room temperature use it.
