I was given this by a priest (he looked a lot like him) what does it mean and what does it represent, why did he give it to me? he only gave it to me and my mother after wanting a picture with him, I am Tunisian and always fascinated by my ancestors culture and religion

    He’s a saint, probably the patron saint of the church/monastery you went to. He meant to give it you for good luck and divine protection. It was a gesture of goodwill because you showed interest to him.

  2. It’s an image of Saint Eumenios (“the one with good graces”). He probably gave it to you as a blessing because he took a liking to you and because you were respectful. The text on the back is an apolytikion, meaning a prayer/poem dedicated to the Saint. Apparently this particular Saint was a healer. So he also wished you good health. If you want to know more about the faith you should read about eastern Christian monasticism. It’s surprisingly interesting.
