  1. Wouldn’t surprise me. Many seem to be stuck in the death spiral of Making less profits > Cut quality > Staff get complained at > staff leave and can’t recruit due to low wages for conditions and hours > worse service and food > making less profits

  2. Anecdotally, the pubs and restaurants in my area seem a lot quieter lately, even at the weekend when you would expect Halloween events to draw the crowds in!

  3. Is that so bad?

    It’ll cull off the shit ones, and once rates come back down, or settle, new ones will enter the market to take up the demand…
