I’d imagine the best way to learn nuclear fusion is to raise your kids to build a nuclear bomb.
Best way to give them a harder start to life too
Counter point: it’s more important to teach your kids how to speak the language they will actually need throughout their lives.
Irish is as useful as Latin.
I think it’s s great, both you and the child are learning something together and can practice with ach ither as well.
No thanks
But how can you do that if you don’t already know Irish?
The sheer hatred some people have for the Irish language is astounding. It’s proper post colonial , self hating stuff.
I can understand people’s issues with how it is taught in schools but actively hating parents teaching their own children it out of faux concern about their English language abilities is pure cultural cringe.
I plan on sending my kids to a French speaking lyceé or international school like how Jodie Foster was schooled. Growing up bilingual is such a huge advantage and it’s much easier to learn a language when you’re young.
