  1. What in the world were they expecting… The incompetence keeps growing in this country. Sad days again, hopefully the 2e lad pulls through

  2. Coward stabbed the first officer in the throat as they rolled their window down to answer his question. Get fucked, enjoy your ride to hell.

  3. Absolutely incredible that this piece of shit was set free after threatening to kill cops this very morning.

Of course there will be zero consequences for this

Parket is verantwoordelijk.

Wtf? Over polarisatie gesproken.

  6. A couple of days ago there was a post on this subreddit discussing the use of a taser on people armed with knives. This clearly shows why that wouldn’t work. Knives are deadly weapons.

And that is the dumbest part of the whole story.

  9. As someone with family member with psychological issues, I can absolutely confirm the frustration and difficulty in forcing care on someone that doctor, social worker, psychologist & psychiatrist all agree the patient needs.
Even if ‘caught in the act’ (e.g. attempting suicide), there’d be a first evaluation by a psychiatrist, and then some 48hrs later a second and a magistrat (procureur?). By that time, a reasonably intelligent person knows what to say, thus impossible to collocate someone whom doesn’t want to; unless he’s gone into completely psychotic delusional state.
Meanwhile, family keeps getting expected to support the patient enough to keep him at home, for past few months he was refused at the psychiatric ward at the local hospital even, so even bringing the patient to urgent care doesn’t work.
I contacted at-home support system, including some statements indicating a trajectory towards suicidal thoughts, it still took a week and a half to have a psychiatrist visit. Which never took place, as patient ended up admitted voluntarily before then; after a lot of contact with family, once *again*.

Condolences to the family, friends and colleague of the dead policeman.
This once again shows how the current system does not work in terms of protecting society.
a person with psychological issues, should voluntarily be able to be collocated.
The person self indicates his judgement is impaired, ‘ah then we don’t lock you up’… thanks a lot system.
