The number of tourists I met this year that got sick as hell halfway through their holiday and didn’t know why was insane. I live in Cornwall and this is becoming the norm unfortunately. Like everything else nowadays, SWW is run for profit so that’s all that matters to them. Cornwall is also full of ‘Poundland Tories’ who think somehow if they vote Conservative it no longer makes them working class, despite the Tories fucking them over at every opportunity. Add this to the fact that every available piece land in Cornwall is being gobbled up by greedy developers and shit quality new build homes are being thrown up everywhere you look, and SWW would rather give shareholders millions than upgrade infrastructure to cope with so many new build homes. The whole thing is fucked.
Who benefits from putting shit in our rivers and seas? I mean, what did the water companies do before it was allowed that they don’t have to do now? Does this literally save them the overhead of processing the sewage, giving the companies larger profits?
How as a nation do we benefit from this?
St Agnes is a beautiful little hamlet nestled in the cliffs. So friendly. Tragic to see this being done. The inaction of the government is sickening.
