The kind where you lose all your money. Just don’t reply and don’t call, and you’re safe.
I received this out of the blue yesterday. Anyone got similar messages? Any advice? I didn’t send a reply to this number nor did I sing up for any service. Googled their „hotline“-number and realized later it’s not even a valid number.
Someone probably entered your phone number on a scam website.
An obvious scam
Beware. They will trick you to travel to Olten!
You try it out if you wan’t to now exactly what kind it is.
But I would say it is the kind where you subscribe for some SMS service that charges you money with each SMS. Like CHF 5 three times a week I guess.
They try to trick you to get a payed abo by sending “START ABO” to the number.
Pretty obvious
A super obvious one…
5-minute-search during my lunch. This is what I got:
Your mobile phone provider selling your phone number to shady companies for money. Only in Switzerland (r).
Never answer. Never call or send a message. This a overtaxed number scam and it tries at all costs to make you call them or contact them so they can better empty your pockets…
One that travelled time from like 2002? Man GPRS and jamba abo’s were THE shit to loose money back in my teenage days
the bad kind
same shit like the old “ring-tone” abo’s, if anyone remembers…just without you getting a crazy frog ringtone…
Don’t answer and block.
There’s a reason it says START ABO even tho they wanna trick you into thinking you already signed up with „bestätige“

522 belongs to PAYCON AG
https://mwd.scapp.swisscom.com/mwdeasypay.html#/search
The Hotline to them is a valid number, but they won’t answer it.
They’re quite famous for those SMS -> https://www.reklamationszentrale.ch/paycon-rechnung-anfechten/
If you want to block them:

TL;DR: Don’t answer and block the number.
