Expert in ‘blinking red’ warning of lone wolf terror amid cost of living crisis

  1. The professor calls for these people to be marginalised, but wouldn’t that just push them further towards act of terror?

  2. >Prof Feldman said the far-right variant of what he calls “self-directed terror” is on the rise globally, fuelled by the glorification of mass murderers such as Norwegian Anders Breivik, whose 2011 manifesto is still just three clicks away online.

Never mind his manifesto being there, but his open praise and links to far-right groups in the UK, same far-right groups that still operate with impunity

  3. Young people in generally are angry about how things have headed. We also know that there are more people falling down extremist rabbit holes, thanks to social media algorithms and the sites’ inability to regulate extremist content. We are looking at good conditions for breeding some very disenfranchised people who will want to take their anger out someone or something they blame for their lot in life.

  4. >A high score would technically be more than 77 innocent people slaughtered, going about their daily business.

Did he say that in a Chris Morris voice?

  5. > far-right lone wolf terrorists competing to be “saints and martyrs” on a computer game-style leader board, an expert has said.

Shades of Brass Eye to be sure.

    > In 2020, a teenager enacted a demonic ideology with far-right associations by killing sisters Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman in a London park.

Would that be a positive or negative score on the “saints and martyrs” leader board?

    > the concept of self-directed attacks, which still remains poorly understood, he said, pointing to the deluge of scholarly studies on the so-called “myth” of lone-wolf terrorism.

So poorly understood there’s a deluge of scholarly studies on the matter? Is Matthew Feldman a pseudonym of Chris Morris?

    > “Most right thinking people would say the slaughter of innocent men, women and children is the opposite of sainthood – it’s closer to demonic”.

[Interesting repeated use of the word ‘innocent’ by Feldman, especially in conjunction with his talk about ‘martyrs’ and the ‘demonic’.](https://www.danielpipes.org/blog/2005/08/can-infidels-be-innocents) I wonder who the good Prof would classify as not being innocent, were they to be slaughtered – if a terrorist ever blows up a prison, someone make sure to approach him for comment.

    > Prof Feldman called for society to stop listening to “false experts” who deny the existence of the lone wolf.

Yes, listen to “true experts” who can tell you about the gamified terrorist martyr leader board and other points on the blinking red ‘bloody triangle’.

Lurpak Spreadable going up in price is going to spur a religious revival and a new wave of ‘terror saints’ looking for ’15 minutes of fame’ and a potential ‘high score’. But don’t forget, you aren’t eligible for sainthood unless you write a manifesto and work entirely alone throughout the ‘terror cycle’.

    You heard it here first!
