there are around 700000 people who are poor in Switzerland, and after winter this number will increase to 2 million. means 20 to 25% of swiss will finish poor and assisted by their canton. they can not even pay for their health insurance.

I strongly believe there won’t be any retirement anymore. (You will use your savings and the government will help you only when you finish on the street. this is called complementary help.)

Switzerland is NOT the richest country but the poorest country in the world. why so? because they calculate the millionaire who increases the richness and gives a much better average. it s like taking your millionaire neighbor and you divide by 2, are you becoming a millionaire in this case?. for Switzerland yes, we are all rich. of course, this is a farce. entire Switzerland is a farce! (I’m swiss by the way and not proud of it because I think our politics have lost control of the country.)

what do you have to say now?

ps: truth hurts, something you didn’t learn at school.

  1. Edit: Can you link any source related to the numbers you are posting or are you just some fucking schwurbler trying to discredit Switzerland?

What’s used as definition for poor in this context? I had some expats friends who thought making 70k/y is being poor so I always take this statement with a grain of salt.

What I have to say to it? Fucking nothing, that’s why I fill up my 3A and I try to live my best life currently.

Will the fact that I’m worrying myself change anything? No, but if there’s a bill that tries to tackle this issue I’ll gladly do some research and vote for/against it.

  2. Have you ever been to, like, other countries? I’m from Italy, which is by most metrics a decently rich country, and the average Joe in Switzerland has insane purchasing power compared to Italy

  3. Is someone paying trolls to discredit Switzerland on this sub or what? This stupid posts are more and more frequent.

  4. You forgot to wrote that they force us to inject chips together with vaccination and chemtrails changing weather so all the water is poisoned. /S

  5. Why not move to a rich country? Then you wouldn’t need to spend all your time complaining on Reddit and you could get a good job and buy a super yacht and a private jet.

  6. Trust me bro ! I heard about it on Twitter, Instagram and YT !

Jeez… 2 million poor people in Switzerland? Really? Never read as much BS as in this post.

  7. Y’all should know you can report posts for misinformation, making it easier for the mods to figure things out. The amount of trolls on here lately has been too damn high!

  8. ahh this guy again… the “thailand has better healthcare because hes source was based on a Survey on the side he posted” guy

  9. Could you analyze what will happens to EU too ? It’s impressive how impressive you can predict so acurately what will definitely not happens.

  10. I think your shitposts are boring. Did you finally leave switzerland or was that simply mouthing around?

  11. I truly believe this subreddit has been discovered as trolls gold, and the people here keep giving the trolls what they want 😄

  12. Lol I am a socialist, from Geneva, and even I know your take on the mean revenue is bullshit. You should learn the difference between mean and median – and learn that it’s the median that is used in most approaches regarding salaries.

The MEDIAN revenue for an individual in Switzerland was right around 6000 in 2021. That’s not a lot by any means, especially if you consider cities, but that’s more than what’s is considered poverty by most trade unions. Also, it’s more than the minimum salary set by Geneva, the second most expensive city in Switzerland.

The poverty you talk about is not something that will hit at once is not what is happening to us: it’s the constant degradation of real revenue that hits the weakest homes – not keeping with inflation, namely, and letting the market absorb the rising interests – meaning, making the poors pay through the increased costs of goods like food and heating. And that’s a constant since 2008 AFAIK.

  13. How is switzerland the poorest country in the world? My student job here pays me about three times what I make in my home country. It’s safe, secure, the infrastructure is out of this world, The average swiss definitely has a better shot at life than the average french or italian?

  14. Are you trying to cope because you came to Switzerland and it’s not the free for all buffet you imagined, or are you living in a shithole and just trolling to cope? Most of your posts are just really cheap ragebait on this sub

  15. I’m not sure if the OP lives in a parallel universe or he is just plain stupid. I’ve been living in this country for about 7 years and I never met or saw someone who complained about poverty. Are you out of your mind?
