Ministers creating ‘wild west’ conditions with use of personal phones

  1. Work phones often have security features, and prevent access to dangerous sites and software. Companies generally ban staff from doing work business from private phones. It will be the same for senior government officials.

But with this government not giving a shit about anything or anyone but themselves, the current reality is that:

    > It has since emerged that Truss allegedly used her personal phone while foreign secretary for numerous exchanges, including with officials from other nations, and for private chats with Kwasi Kwarteng, who was later her chancellor when she was in No 10.

    > Dave Penman, the head of the FDA union, which represents senior civil servants…[said] “…unless you’ve got the political will to clamp down on this stuff, it won’t happen. This is how they want to operate – they want to avoid scrutiny.”

  2. Is my impression wrong, that as much as I no more like their politics, the Tories of yore were at least serious people that held themselves to the standards of their office?

When they weren’t cooking up dodgy expense claims of course.

  3. It wouldn’t surprise me if this was more widespread and Braverman was just one to get called out on it publicly.

  4. Imagine having to actually deal with these rich cunts and their nuclear grade entitlement. I don’t envy the MI5 staff trying to get them to actually listen and pay attention then heed the advice for the good of national security.

Loose lips sink ships and these fuckers clearly grease their lips every morning ready for a day of sharing information with belligerent countries and private interests.

Fucking hate the lot of them.
