  1. >They can’t leave us like this.

Sorry but the council have temporarily housed them until they find something suitable. What do you expect them to do? Custom build a home just for you?
You chose to have a large family and big homes aren’t readily available. Surely it’s a case of private rent or be patient?

  2. The very least that people that don’t work can expect is fully contiguous free housing, surely?

Good to see that they refused a house that was actually big enough.

Looking at the severe problems that private renters are having on the UK housing subreddits, I suspect that this replies section will be unmissable

  3. Don’t have kids you can’t afford it, so I’m told.
Don’t have kids get a career, I’m told.
Don’t have kids to save the environment I’m told.

Don’t worry about it our government will bring people here who definitely can’t afford 8 kids but you tax payers will pay anyway.
    We are being mugged off.

  4. They should blame themselves for putting their poor kids in this situation. No wonder the youngest child is lashing out – and she’s blaming autism without him even being assessed. Anyway, clearly no one is going to have any sympathy for these selfish dumbos. For the kids sake I hope they do find something more suitable soon though.

  5. If they were shoving them all into one house which was too small I could understand but they’ve got 2 houses out of this which is adequate for the situation

  6. >Birmingham City Council said it had offered the family rooms within the same building and rooms in a purpose-built homeless centre, but these had been refused.

    >Rebecca explained that she had turned down an attic room because she has ‘two toddlers who have just started walking and children who could open a door and fall down the stairs’

Ridiculous. Fuck off and give the houses to people who deserve them.

  7. We chose to only have 2 children for financial and personal reasons, accidents happen yes, but that many times,? Don’t take on more than you can afford to care for.

  8. Yeah let’s dump out 6 children we can’t afford to take care of, make the government house and feed and clothe us, and then complain about it.

  9. They have not one but two homes. Do you know how many people are geniunely living under the ‘Breadlune without a home, housed in hotel? How many are sleeping on their friends couch?

Perhaps one home should be taken away.
, and given to another family..

Its so easy to forget to be thankful.
