Why don’t we just cut the stupid shit we don’t need. Your welcome
I don’t get what sort.of country the government want to live in, surely even for them its objectively much worse?
Let’s start by cutting the allowances paid to councillors, then cut the salaries of the chief executives.
So what are they spending our council tax on exactly? Some of us are paying through our noses for these services they’re aren’t done out of good will.
How long before we start seeing the permanent withdrawal of certain services?
Because there’s nothing left to cut without simply dropping certain services completely.
I worked for local government years ago. It was incredibly frustrating (and expensive) to slowly build up very popular children’s services only to have a budget rug pull and see everything scales back, staff let go and families loosing vital access to services.
Can’t begin to imagine how destructive this will be.
It’s already way less than the bare minimum, what are they on about.
Planning department seems vastly under funded for ages and appears to be getting worse. They are causing a bottleneck in the economy.
The public sector seems extremely hollowed out already.
I thought they were offering the bare minimum already. That sure seems to be the case in my county. They take plenty of money from us, though.
That started about 4 years ago for our council. They do the bare fucking minimum they can on a daily basis. I don’t see how they could do any less.
Or you know, they could cut millions from overpaid staff
