It’s sad that we have so little woodland left. Just square field after square field.
Temperate rain forests also still exist in the U.S. at Olympia National Park, and on some small areas on the Atlantic coast of Norway.
I wandered into one of these on a walk, just thinking we were going to walk through some woods. They’re pretty incredible places, felt very different to a normal forest.
Wistmans wood in Dartmoor is one of them. I went to visit it a few years ago. Spooky as hell and almost impenetrable.
