Just buy him any new hat. You can maybe try to fix the holes. Google ‘visual mending’. You can embroider a nice image or a name on the holes to fix it.

Why do you need to replace it? Tell him to buy a new one himself. Also check the inside label, it probably has the brand. It doesn’t look like a popular one though.
