The actual details are so much worse than them taking her phone and refusing to give it back unless she gave them blowjobs. Why did the journalist lead with minor theft and pestering when they also pulled her to the ground and tried to rape her?

Parents, please do your best to teach your girls confidence, self esteem, self worth and self defense. All these things add up to them being able to protect themselves if in a seemingly innocent situation. Our girls can be the girls who won’t take this shit. And show good communication to them so they will communicate back to you a d tell you if something happens !!
There seems to be so much education on consent etc but is it working???? Doesn’t seem like it to me. Shouldn’t have to grow up in a world where they have to learn to protect themselves. I saw a group of teenagers before and one of the lads took a girls phone, put it down the front of his trousers and told her to “come and get it”. The whole lot of them, girls as well as lads laughed. I was disgusted and told him to hand the phone back and apologise.
I genuinely don’t know where kids pick this sort of stuff up? Do they think it up themselves? See it online? Imitate others? Maybe I was fair sheltered as a teenager, but I just don’t see how a 14yr old even thinks like this.
Vigilante groups are going to become more and more popular if the country keeps failing us.
