Not sure but I do know there is a gehucht that’s called ‘Grote Homo’
Big smol
Saint-Gilles / Sint-Gillis has a little area on the other side of Lousialaan / avenue Louise. (The corner of the Quick Louise)
Mesen / Messines (W-Vl / Fl Occ)
Comines Warmeton
What is the gemeente between?
Belgium, champion on wasting money on inefficiency.
So does every gemeente have their own mayor? According the internet we have about 600 gemeentes rounded so does this mean we have 600 mayors? Sounds a bit excessive and expensive. For comparison, New York only has one mayor.
Leuven also has an exclave down the Tiensesteenweg. It has Heverlee and Kessel-Lo in between.
You can see it when you do a maps search on “3000 Leuven”.
Since Google cuts out any federal waterway, just follow them.
Brugge is a mess, from the harbour at Zeebrugge to Brugge, cut in two by the canal. The the outelside of the harbour slicing it again to the East. The the Brugge-Oostende canal taking another chunk out of it, straight into the canal to Damme.
Same goes for everything along these canals. Oudenburg, Damme, Oostende, Jabbeke.
And inlands Oostkamp, Beernem… just follow the water
Bornem heeft een deelgemeente “Buitenland”
Boom
So typical r/Belgium to type everything in English but then not translate the word “gemeente”, and everyone in the comments does the same lol.
