The pound is very low compared to historical values so everything British looks cheap right now. Hence the sales of dozens of other companies (ARM, Morrisons etc).
Boots is effectively a monopoly as they are the only game in town in a lot of locations. Regulators should be looking into breaking it up, rather than further consolidation and foreign ownership.
