  1. I pray to all the gods that i die with ~80…

Who the hell would want to live that long? Especialy if that would mean that we’d have to work for even more years of our life. Besides that, is it worth getting to 130 if you’re probably going to break every bone in your body by simply standing up, can’t remember your own name, can’t take a shit on your own, etc for like 30-40 years?

    Hell no.

  2. The ever increasing lifespan leads me to fear some things. Already our retirement system is pretty broken and barely able to pay people. A lot of old people don’t even get enough money and need to work or live in poverty during retirement.

Older aged people means more money that needs ro be spent on retirement.

The jungfreisinnige have started an initiative that would raise the retirement age. On top of that it is bound to the average life expectancy and it is expected to raise retirement age to 68 in the year 2054.

    This scares me.
People should not be working for that long. Lots of jobs don’t even make it feasable to work ubtil that age and you can’t expect someone to relearn lots of thngs with 50+ when they basically become unemplayable in many jobs.

We desperately need change. And I don’t think this change is possible within capitalism.

  3. What they don’t tell you is that the extra 40 years are spent in an old people’s house in a wheelchair eating steamed potates and spinach with no salt.

  4. Yeah nah humans aren’t supposed to live that long. Imma nip out before then. Thank the nines for exit.
