Cannot be sold to investors.. Why would this be?

  1. I sold a house last April, chose a young family over some hedge fund. I met them, they were sound, cost me a little but delighted I did.

  2. Fair play to this company. They’ll still sell it but can be a part of the solution rather than the problem.

Why in earth there can’t be a pause on properties being sold as investments during a housing shortage is beyond me. It’s an election no brainer.

If we can close night clubs for the public good then why not make sure we give citizens a shot at a house first.

  3. An individual can be an investor too. How can the seller know that it won’t be purchased as an investment?

  4. This is a dublin city council affordable housing scheme development. You must have a dublin city council mortgage to buy. Or cash buyer owner-occupier.

  5. It’s either council led affordable housing or a new build which An Board Pleanala have conditioned that it cannot be sold to a corporate entity as part of the planning permission.

  6. We sort of interviewed with the people who sold us our house. They wanted to meet us to be sure they were selling to a family who would enjoy the same sort of childhood they had
