I am quite skeptical of the English twist to our treasured national dish

  1. Am I the only one that is feeling slightly sick by the sight of meat being dipped in cheese fondue?

  2. OMG, I didn’t even realise that was Brocoli in the picture until I read it in the comments, that’s how unworldly it is to me!

  3. Well remember fondue orthodoxy is a thing of the Welsche. East of the Sarine, anything goes. Meat, vegetables, pineapple… I’ve seen it all.

  4. Who noticed that there is no Swiss flag in this Emmi logo? If I have to make a guess, this is probably because the product does not fulfill the swissness regulations! gotcha Emmi! where is my cookie?

  5. This is blasphemy at some many levels.

Isn’t Emmi the brand that started making fake “Gruyère” in the US even though the name is protected in Europe? Those guys are a disgrace to cheese culture.

  6. This isn’t a British product. Emmi is Swiss. I haven’t tried this particular fondue as I have mine imported from Valais. I do eat the Emmi Raclette. It’s not bad, naturally it doesn’t beat the ones I get from Valais but it is nice.

  7. I think it’s because swiss people do it themself with real fresh cheese. This kind of package is for tourists

  8. this gets shipped to many European countries, for example the netherlands as well.

it’s just rebranded gerber fondue and i make sure visitors only get bread with it 😀
