The death of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes raises hard questions – we must address them all

  1. Not too many news stories make me cry, but this one did. That poor, poor child. I can’t even get my head around anyone being that cruel to a child, let alone someone who was supposed to love and cherish him.

  2. I don’t think anything has affected me so deeply. I read the story in the afternoon before picking up my toddler from nursery. Held it together while we had dinner and I put him to bed and just broke down to my husband over the washing up.

That poor boy. My heart has broken for him. Failed by those who were supposed to protect him.
If you haven’t heard the recordings I urge you not to. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forget his little voice.

Yes! 10 years of defunding and cutting social services means you have organisations which are understaffed under resourced and held together by a shoes string.

Why would a newly qualified social worker want to go into children’s services? All you are is a someone to blame.

  4. I’d also like to know why the hairdresser catherine milhench who witnessed little Arthur being pressure pointed and tortured didn’t do anything.
So many people failed this precious little boy
