Prime Minister’s Questions: Rishi Sunak says it is ‘absolutely right’ Gavin Williamson resigned – and admits ‘regret’ over appointment

  1. >Sir Gavin – who had already been sacked by Theresa May and Boris Johnson

Just not quick enough to get sacked by Truss, he must be very disappointed

  2. But still allowed him to resign instead sacking him or what we mere mortals call it – instant dismissal under gross misconduct

  3. Opposition MPs should turn up for PMQs next week with Bingo cards. As soon as Sunak mentions Corbyn they should leap to their feet, shout house and wave their bingo cards in the air.

  4. Watch the actual PMQs, whilst *technically* right the Sky headline is really quite generous to Sunak here. Very much only came across as ‘I regret that he get caught’.

  5. Glossing over the fact that he hired him, despite knowing of allegations of him and his general poor conduct over the years. Williamson’s scandal is partly Sunak’ too: it shows that Sunak is no different to Johnson and Triss with respect to who he will surround himself with.

  6. He promised to bring integrity, professionalism and accountability. I mean, I feel like saying something pithy, but he was just talking out if his arse wasn’t he. Like, even his own political wank fantasies mean absolutely nothing.
