  1. How in the name of all that is good and holy is it possible to have a learner permit for 30 years?

Surely there has to be a point where we say maybe driving isn’t for you?

  2. And here was me being paranoid I didn’t have my tax disc yet( I had paid was just waiting for the disk)…….

  3. expensive day, speeding, 7 penalty points, €1,000 euro fine for driving unaccompanied and car impounded

edit driving under the influence and arrested as well

  4. I know a woman whos been driving on a learner licence her entire adult life and has never gotten in trouble for it somehow.

  5. I know several people who’ve been driving on provisionals for 10-40 years and getting away with it. One of them got caught after 20 and had her car seized so she went to take a pre test lesson before taking the test, when the instructor pointed out a litany of errors she had with her driving she decided she knows better than the instructor, the rsa, the gardai etc and continues to drive untested.
There really should be a limit imposed on how many times you can renew a provisional without evidence of taking lessons/applying for a test, after a certain amount of time it should be voided and you have to retake the theory test to get a new one.
