  1. Wonder why Writer’s Tears shows Burren Distillers.

Writer’s Tears and Irishman should be independent brands. They were tied to Royal Oak distillery but that changed since they had the fallout.

  2. Don’t you love to see it!!

I’m lucky to have had quite a few of these beauties.

INB4 how are they selling 10 year old whiskey when the distillery is 3 years old, it’s called bootstrapping.

  3. The Shed Distillery is just “The Shed Distillery”, or even just “Drumshambo”. Bit odd adding the “of PJ Rigney” after it.

  4. So much better than twenty years ago. I’m glad there’s been a revival in Irish distilling, and I hope it continues to grow.

  5. It’s crazy to think that in the late 18th century there were over 1200 registered distilleries in Ireland, and likely just as many unregistered, with Irish Whiskey being the most popular spirit in the World. Nice to see the numbers going up again at last.

  6. It’s missing Tipperary Boutique Distillery near Clonmel. I can attest to the deliciousness of their whiskey. Tried some at All Together Now during the summer.

  7. Did you make this OP?

Just to let you know that the Copeland Distillery and Echlinville Distillery are the wrong way around. Copeland is in Donaghadee and Echlinville is near Kircubbin.

  8. Debating about which is the best is a pointless endeavour, as they all taste feckin class 🙂

Also, anyone know where Paddy whiskey comes from?

  9. It’s very neat and tidy but I’d like to see a map to include all of the brands. Mark the distillery and all the brands that are made there for example the one marked as Jameson distillery also produces a lot of other big names.

  10. lambay whiskey isnt made on the island. but it is matured in an old lifeboat house there. right at the shore easy to rob 😉

  11. Nice to see this! Not so long ago it was just Cooley, Middleton and Bushmills. Great to see us back on our feet, lads!

  12. ummmm, i would like reviews of each of these please.

where i live we cannot get any of these except jameson, Killbeggan, and D.E.W.

  13. Great sign that some fantastic whiskeys are missing off this list. Grace O’Malley, Titanic, Dead Rabbits etc. Irish whiskey really is having a brilliant return to form and it can only mean good things ahead.

  14. From Longford area, not convinced Lough Ree Distillery isn’t a money laundering scheme, had a tiny building (basically an old house, something like 2 bedroom size, really tiny) under construction for 2 years with their name on it and all that they’ve used it for since is setting up a horse carriage coffee shop in the back yard

  15. Skellig Distillery, Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry will be releasing a whiskey in 2023 as far as I know. They already have Skellig Gin in circulation.

  16. This almost looks like a vacation destination map.

Just needs a list of tour dates and instructions.
