I’ve lived there and visited regularly when I wasn’t, it’s not being judged unfairly at all. I actually think people are being quite reserved when they describe the intolerance. The same can be said for the UAE and Saudi except they didn’t bribe FIFA for the World Cup and then discriminate publicly against certain visiting crowd member groups and then try to defend themselves by explaining their intolerance is actually not isolated to hate groups, no that would be bad, no, their intolerance is endemic, deliberate, taught in schools and is part of their culture which they are very proud of.
> He told ITV Wales: “We have to look at the bigger picture. Lots of these things that are being reported are not Qatar rules, they are rules that belong in Muslim countries.
He’s not *wrong*, but *Qatar is a Muslim country*.
Not sure he’s in a position to be preaching about behaviour.
Qataris may think our laws on alcohol are wrong and immoral, look at all the children abused by parents where drink is involved, for example.
What if we told them to adopt our laws on homosexuality and they told us to restrict alcohol, what then?
Allah’s wife was 9 when he married her but don’t you guys worry he waited untill she was 12 to bang her.
Imagine living in a country named after a nasty cough…
I mean the countries in the middle east deserve to host a world cup just as much as any country deserves to host a world cup but the way in which Qatar was selected is absolutely disgraceful and the lack of accountability on FIFAs side on the corruption that went on not just in the process of selecting Qatar but after as well is horrendous.
More propaganda from some Welsh guy with a vested interest
>I don’t fall into any of the numerous groups they hate and despise so I really don’t see what the fuss is. Nor was I trafficked an executed personally.
Lol how braindead.
I’ve not been to the moon, but I know it’s not made of cheese.
(I have been to Qatar on several occasions)
So they do invite their critics to come so they can change their minds… hmm, like cat inviting mice for a dinner.

Come on guys it’s only the occasional gay they throw off buildings. It’s not that bad.
> “Peter Sutcliffe judged unfairly by those that haven’t spent time around him, says man who has received money from Peter Sutcliffe.”
> “Gays are an abhorrent”
> “N-no you just don’t understand the people of Qatar!!”
What a load of bollocks
Yeah guys come on, the LGBT community get like….29days to do their thing and if we catch any of them after that then it’s to the stoning pits 🙂
By the by, i’ll judge a place as fucking bad as I want if it’s illegal for me and my boyfriend to be together there.
Well I would like to go there and ‘judge it fairly’, but if I did, I’d get stoned (and not with plants)
Tell me you’ve [signed up to have your flights/accommodation/match tickets paid for, but will have to appear in promotional videos and flag content critical of the tournament on social media.](https://news.sky.com/story/england-and-wales-fans-offered-paid-trips-to-qatar-providing-they-agree-to-be-world-cup-ambassadors-12738094) without telling me that you’ve done so.

Also, this isn’t just any Welsh expat. Seems to be the same Rhodri Ogwen Williams who [was sacked from Sky Sports after footage emerged of him having a threesome with a naked woman and former Blue Peter presenter, John Leslie.](https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/rhodri-puts-sex-scandal-behind-2238269)
