Guys, I am Brazillian, not Swiss, and I was reading the topic about the Löwendenkmal monument and the story behind it. Some redditors was saying that the historic fact was not something to be proud of and stuff, but I was wondering: is there some monument for the soldiers of the Swiss Guard that died defending the Pope Clement?
I mean, I read about this historic fact 5 years ago in Brazil and I am passionate for the Sabaton music “[The Last Stand](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9BupglHdtM)”. I guess this is a historic fact to be proud of, at least more than the deaths during French Revolution…

But at the end, I am not swiss and I would like to hear your opinions about that and maybe discover a new place to visit here in Switzerland

Yes, the lion monument in Luzern.
as far as i remember there exists no such monument in switzerland, i do vaguely remember such a think exists in rome though but i may be mistaken.
There is a monument for the Sacco di Roma and it’s located in the [San Damaso courtyard of the Swiss Guard](https://i.imgur.com/7fBIrCM.png) in Vatican City – thus most tourists are excluded to see it. No respective monument is known in Switzerland.
