Does anyone know how to get decent LiPo batteries delivered to Ireland?

  1. Not through Prime.
Some amazon shops will deliver them at extra cost but only through certain forwarders. (DHL does it i think)

Shipping batteries internationally is a bit of a pain in the tits and generally needs a company with a special licence. there’s a bunch of legislation regarding how many in one package, type, mode of transport etc…

Bad or damaged batteries get a bit explodey.

Trawl google a bit to see if you can find a stockist in Ireland.
Otherwise try buy from a site that includes all the messy charges into their standard shipping charges.

  2. What’s really annoying is they wont even send to Northern Ireland either.

Somebody needs to start driving once a week ferry crossing to Stranraer/Larne.

Fill the car with our battery orders and take them across the border.

  3. Radionics or R/S Online as they’re called sometimes.
Screw fix might have them too.

  4. Ikea’s batteries are so good they were rumored to be Panasonics eneloops, but they don’t do that size.

  5. You could use An Post’s AddressPal in London. I forget how much extra that is, and they might charge you extra on the customs and VAT which is a pain in the bollox.
