Honestly as somebody living in Echternach I do have a few concerns about this too. First I hope this hole thing will not push away Restaurants / Bars in favor of some huge fashion conglomerate.
Hopefully the city is thinking about a decent way of tackling traffic which would be caused by an influx of cars. I would welcome a city navette running around and keeping cars out of the city as far as possible.
