Germany warns Russia will pay a price if it enters Ukraine

  1. Also Germany: Please don’t threaten to remove our gas supplies, please don’t poison anyone else European territory, please don’t get Belarus to send more immigrants our way, etc

  2. I can’t believe only thing some people care about is gas when people’s lives are at stake. They could have use electricity for heating if they were smart enough to keep going nuclear.

  3. Germany warns Russia will pay a price if it enters Ukraine…

…and also wants to get that sweet, sweet gas through Nord Stream 2.

Yeah, I’m sure Putin is **panicking**.

  4. Already new from Germany, might be wrong but I feel that kind of declaration would never happen under Merkel.

  5. I hate the fact that EU has just become a big playground for russia and china.

Let’s put up clear boundaries with the rest of the free world.

You want to trade with oir open markets? Then have at least democracy and free speech. That’s how we won over nations.

  6. I have to say I have been positively surprised regarding the line the German Greens have taken against countries like Russia and China. I kind of expected them to weak and ‘pragmatic’ towards them, like much of the rest of German left-of-centre parties and even CDU have historically been, but it seems they are indeed have a spine and are willing to defend democratic values even if doing so might lead to some tensions.

  7. Russia : *Invade Ukraine*

Germany : You will pay the price !

    Russia : *Cut the gaz*

    Germany : K. Nevermind.

  8. Well it’s true that Germany can do more than just write a letter, they can write a *strongly worded* letter.

Cmon lads, we need more than words, and that’s true for most of the rest of the EU too.

  9. Like every other country – only talks and no action. If Russia is about to invade Ukraine (hopefully not), nothing is stopping them. Maybe only the USA will actually do something (sending some troops to Ukraine), but other nations will just point fingers angrily at them.

  10. That letter is gonna be *even stronger* worded, than when they entered Chrimea.

But please keep the gas-lines running while harrasing us with refugees via a proxy.

  11. Lol…no one gives a fuck what the Germans think…what’s Germany gonna do about it? Send 50 year old planes on bombing runs against s400s.

Germany might as well be 1000 miles away, it’s made itself irrelevant and shall remain irrelevant.

  12. Germany should not be making empty threats.

I doubt Germany would do a thing even if Russia moved against Estonia or Latvia (and they are EU).
Most likely we would see France, UK and US do something then we would see Germany.
