As for open standards, just looks how they do everything to avoid properly supporting Vulkan.
The EU should stop being a slave to Microsoft and let it be involved in all the European stuff.
I bet that in 10 years both Russia and China will be very far ahead on the software side as they will have massive Linux adoption, while Europe will continue to throw huge amounts of money to Microsoft and at the same time will hinder innovation with all the vendor lock-ins and patent bullshit.
Software patents are a disgrace anyway as they basically say that math can be patented.
