Lot of inaccuracies there. Can we definitely say the vikings that established Dublin were from modern day Denmark? The celts are not necessarily of Irish origins either. Bern not founded by the Germans, however Zurich has links to German trides.

Its supposed to be Norwegian Vikings that raided Ireland
Could be because the celtic tribes that moved through those areas were called Galatians, so they made the connection with Gaels. We are also one of the few remaining countries that are considered Celtic.

Too lazy to look into it but, Irish monks would have set up monasteries around Europe. Perhaps some of these capital cities derived from settlements around those monasteries ?
