If MPs think that fans or clubs give a flying fuck when they could charge north of a tenner and fans can get pint selfies with a shitty watered down shandy, then the government should call a G.E on principle.
Having a pint at the game would be well sound, if I could afford it; and it is practically a big part of some American sports.
However, on both sides of the debate there’s Barry. Barry is English and doesn’t know when to stop, or can’t. Every club has a few Barry’s knocking about.
But then, I mean, that is even discounting the Stella Fella’s innit?
Thinking they can change group behaviours on one hand with campaigns, and then on the other go backwards in time when football and alcohol was a passtime me for many, is just mad fuzzy logic.
All in all, if there’s people who want a drink at a game, they will just find creative ways or drink beforehand. Serving booze at a game tickles my inner bear and people possibly should have the freedom of a pint or two at the game.
Aren’t Spurs halfway there with this already though? Remember seeing a doc on their new stadium and fans pay beforehand for credit to spend at the bar.
Obviously now thinking about it, they can’t drink on the stands, but I mean, most fans will have ways and means to drink beforehand, so why go back on a law that was brought in to quell violence back in the 90s?
I mean, I know the Tories are all for getting the economy back on track but surely that would mean a need for more policing?
Surely those police best serve within the local communities than at a match where it may or may not kick off due to intoxication.
Just to note. I fully expect this to go through despite the warnings. I think they’ll try anything to appease and make a slice and wouldn’t be surprised if a few of their mate’s, mates already had tenders at the ready to open up a chain across all stadiums.
They don’t debate it unless they’re actually trying to do it.

You can drink at rugby games because people aren’t arseholes. The trick is not to allow arseholes to games. If they act like an arsehole then Permanent ban from all stadiums.
Lager shampoos?
Sounds like a new Lynx flavour.
Well, duh.
Also, this just in, standing out in the rain without an umbrella may lead to wetness and damp clothes!

Lol what’s that saying. “If my aunty had wheels , she’d be a bike” some Italian fella said it lol
Mark Roberts is a fucking cunt.
According to him its also easier to throw missiles, take cocaine and do racist chants if you’re stood up.
And also apparently the problems in Paris at the champions league final were because of ‘not genuine fans’. Funny that because everyone else seems to think it’s entirely the polices fault. I’m absolutely shocked he’d be so biased like that.
This should probably be reviewed. Safe standing has been a success, they should look at ways to address this.
The inability to drink at your seat just means people are downing pints before the game and downing a pint at half time rather than drinking it slowly at their seat.
Yes there will always be a few people who take it to the extreme, but then a way to manage this >1% should be introduced rather than making it difficult for the vast majority.
But the whole point of football is to get drunk and commit triballistic violence
