Am I the only one who encounters more and more frequently these out of service doors in the CFF/SBB trains?

  1. Door remains open all the time, which makes the trip a bit more… noisy. I feel like I come across these broken doors more and more in the IC1.

  2. Still better than a half-shut door carrying around the mutilated corpse of a stuck ticket controller… But indeed, SBB is not exactly to be praised for the quality of the maintenance of its equipment…

  3. Broken toilet or entrance door or AC unit so you feel like in the Bahamas or delays, there’s always something.

  4. their focus is now on installing those utterly pointless touchscreens on every single train station. no money and interest for fixing non-shinny stuff like simple doors or having a functional toilet…

  5. Besides that: Can anyone explain to me how the SBB can provide such a terrible service, having so much money, infrastructure and employees. I mean, having people to stay routinely in 1 hour non-stop train rides, sometimes delays without any information as to when the service will be reestablished, incompetent customer service, and let’s not even start to talk about the people putting their stinky feet on the seats for everyone to appreciate or lying down taking deep naps over two seats without the conducteurs saying anything, because for most on here this is normal behaviour

  6. It’s their very visible proof to you that they’re out of money and will have to increase the prices yet again. By a lot! For your convenience.

  7. No you just notice the few times it’s out of service a lot more than the 99 other time it’s working. Brains work like that.

  8. That’s not a door, that’s a seat. You can tell, because it does not open, but you can sit on it.

    It’s a common mistake.
