if you want to help poor countries reduce emissions then start pumping out natural gas and stop buying all the LNG. the biggest way western nations have reduced emissions these past few decades is by switching from coal to gas.

What is it with a Tory government and wanting to throw money at the problems of other countries while ignoring the problems on their own doorstep? People are starving and freezing in this country, they need to help them first!

Our economy’s been tanked because of the bullshit and piss-poor economic policies Sunak implemented as both Chancellor of the Exchequer and now as Prime Minister. We’ve got no money to build new homes and shelter our homeless natives, no money to feed our poor fat obese kids, no money to heat the homes of the fragile elderly, but sure, we’ve got many many many millions of pound notes to pay to other countries for the impact of climate change on them, and many millions more to house and feed – in 4 star luxury, I’ll add! – the countless number of unchecked foreign criminals who invade our shores on a daily basis.
This is exactly the type of shit Corbyn’s Labour would have done had they been elected last time out.
It’s so obvious for all the see. Rishi Sunak is a Corbynite!
We’ve scrapped renewable heat incentive, hobbled grants for heat pumps, reduced the feed in tariff to pointlessness, retreated from electric charging infrastructure and removed subsidies for electric cars. The government are massively less invested in climate change than ever.
They’re even trying to block new solar installations on land.
These conferences are stupid, it’s literally a game of creating the best soundbite (“red alert”) nothing more.
I seriously doubt that the Tories will be increasing foreign aid.

Charity begins at home. There will soon be millions of British citizens who will not be able to afford to heat and eat. Some won’t be able to either. He wasn’t going until he was derided in the media. Everything for a sound bite.
I’d beg our government on hands and knees to please stop spending billions overseas and instead put that money where it should go, to Britain, but they’re doing this intentionally to make things worse, so even begging is worthless.
