I’ve been looking for years and nobody got a squat on the polish side, they came to Canada in occupied Warsaw and thats basically all I got other then my great grandma the pochwala lived in a farm in Poland that’s it
What do you expect from us? Both “Zgłobicki” and “Pochwała” are generic Polish surnames, can be from basically every part of Poland, probably shared by thousands different families.
Have you tried app myheritage? Many polish families have their genealogical trees there. Do you know anything more about location where they lived? You could reach closest church, they should have more information
Did your grandparents die in Canada? If so you should obtain their death certificates – there is usually a place of birth written there.
Then you can contact a registry office (urząd stanu cywilnego) from their town in Poland and ask for birth certificates – there should be names and dates of birth of your great-grandparents there.
Also, check Myheritage – in Poland it is more popular than Ancestry. You can do a DNA test from MyHeritage to find some relatives.
FYI I’m canadian and got no idea about polish anything
Also posted here cause who knows maybe I end up finding family as little info I have I do have specific info that family could find me if they knew the ppl I speak about
