I’m a junior doctor at the University of Oxford (UK) and I’m looking for collaborators for a new project on how to train future astronauts in managing medical emergencies during future space exploration missions on Mars.
Iceland is a good place to test the feasibility and logistics of such emergencies due to remote locations and similarities in geology. In fact, you may already know about moon landing or Mars space rovers being trailed near Reykjavík.
**I’m looking for anyone who’s interested in this project – from scientific collaboration to simply being a participant who wants to have a go at rescuing someone on Mars.** No prior experience or knowledge required, although anyone with good scientific background or connection to Háskóli Íslands / Landspitali would be very much appreciated.

Yeah.. and it wouldn’t be an issue that I’m so out of shape I sweat while drinking coffee in the morning.. or when I breath.. or when I think about walking somewhere?
You should contact ICE-SAR https://www.landsbjorg.is/icelandic-association-for-search-and-rescue. We have a long history of playing patients for each other.. and you would get a mix of first aid skills, from basic to certified WFR.
