It’s a sensible article, and it calls a spade a spade when it comes to our stupidly dogmatic position on energy procurement that will no doubt leave us with black outs or load shedding in the medium term.
It’s completely mental and borderline criminal that we have no major storage for a fuel we rely on so heavily
Weve been relying on other countries for too long, an energy independent Ireland is needed and local gas has to form part of thay strategy until the tide turns in favour of nuclear
Something something wind
Everyone cares about green energy when the energy supply is stable and cheap. If you make the energy supply unstable and expensive suddenly no one will care about it.
If you want to save the environment you first need a strong economy and stable power. Take those away and people stop caring about the environment.
My home country of South Africa does not give a single solitary hoot about green energy or the environment because the supply is unstable and the prices are going up. once people go into survival mode they will burn anything to stay warm and fed.
Aren’t we currently building new gas power plants?
