Met Police detective dismissed for sexually assaulting colleague

  1. Sounds like a creep. However I find the description of the victim a bit weird:

    >PC X was vulnerable at the time as she had depression, was on antidepressants which made her drowsy, had recently broken up with a fellow officer and had issues at work, the panel found.

I have to wonder how relevant this stuff is to the case. Antidepressants which made her drowsy? I mean if she’s so drowsy that she’s vulnerable then maybe she shouldn’t be on shift as a police officer.

  2. “No further action being taken”

Dude committed an offense, will never be held accountable and will be free to reoffend.
And they wonder why women don’t speak up.

  3. I swear this sub is full of the mentality deficient.

Let’s make this easy on you guys.

Let’s say you see me punching someone in the face. So you run to the police and say I murdered someone. They launch a murder investigation. I plead I’m innocent of murder, and after that concludes they find I haven’t murdered anyone, that person remains Unmurdered.

So naturally they pass my innocence and drop the murder investigation. No further action is needed as I’m proven to not have murdered anyone. You admit all I did was punch someone so, of course, the murder investigation and all actions cease there.

That’s separate from the charge of punching the guy in the face, of course. I’m still going to likely have to answer to that.

But this is why you don’t over extend your accusations. She was sexually harassed and touched. She claimed rape. He didn’t rape her, he is thus innocent of rape and the rape investigation has ended and won’t be pursued further. Does that mean he also didn’t harass her or touch her? Of course not. But they never said he didn’t. They only conclude the rape charge was bogus. Then she and you guys have the surprised pikachu face about the fact he’s not found guilty of the crime he didn’t commit?

Should you be surprised that my murder charge was dropped because I definitely did punch the guy?

She can still press charges for the assault. Only now she’s learned a lesson in lying to the law for more punishment, and likely herself will face some damage from the false accusation.

Don’t try to accuse criminals for more than the crime they committed because that’s how you get criminals out of court walking free.

  4. A relative of mine, applied to be a PCSO (Support Officer). Some years earlier she had been on anti-depressants following an abusive relationship. When they (the Police) saw that on her application, they rejected her! My point being that serving officers perhaps should not be on shift as their behaviour could be unpredictable.
