As Chile legalises same-sex marriage, where in Europe is making the most progress on LGBT rights?

  1. Chile in South America has same-sex marriage (marriage equality) before Italy, Greece and the eastern european countries!

  2. In Spain, the most conservative political party is arguing about whether same sex marriage should be called marriage. They don’t complain about LGBT rights beyond that.

  3. In Europe, Switzerland had a referendum this year that will lead to the legalisation of same sex marriage

  4. It will happen in Greece at some point in the next 5 years, but probably after the 2023 elections (so that New Democracy doesn’t lose their rural/religious part of their voting block).

There is also a chance it happens in Andorra and Liechtenstein, there are bills in the parliaments of both countries.
