If you haven’t tried them, you definitely should. My grandma makes them all the time and they’re absolutely delicious. Her family was from Karelia originally.
You get deported from Finland if you are native and have not tried karjalanpiirakka.
A lack of Karjalanpiirakka is one of the tragedies of not being in Finland at the moment, for me.
It is impossible to live in Finland and not eat these.
Half-Finn here…my mother was from Tornio and would make these!! Miss them, and her, so much!!!
One of the best things in life.
I’ve tried them most every week for the last 35 years. Starting to think I might like them.
Yes
You could say we’ve “tried” it
Do you mean tried it this afternoon? this morning? or last night before bed?
I only eat them most days of the week, sometimes more.
It’s same thing when you ask ”I found this thing called air. Have you ever breath it”
I think there’s much much less people who haven’t tried than people who eat karelian pies regularly
”Have ya’ll Finns ever tried it?”
We were fed those starting from the daycare.
one of the worst sins is not eating these
If you live in Finland and haven’t eaten these, then you gotta go
Lol, this is flaired as “Serious”.
Best troll ever.
Thanks for the laughs.
You’re joking, right?
If you’re a finn and haven’t eat karjalanpiirakka i don’t think you exist
Do bears shit in the forest?
I’ll fix it:”Found this thing called “ilma” or “air”. Have yall finns ever tried it”
A finn that hasn’t eaten these isn’t even a real finn
You mean like… today? Or just this evening.
“Hi Mexicans, I just found out about this thing called tacos, have yall tried it??”
This question fills me with boiling rage

I found this thing calles pasta. I wonder if all Italians know about this thing 😁
Mitä vittua tottakai nää on suomalaisten ruokien ydin
Translation: what the duck of course these are the core of Finnish foods.
Heard there’s stuff called hamburgers in America. Ever tried them?
The point is the same even if you’re not from America.
