>Police in India have arrested a man who ripped up the national flag of Portugal after he mistook it for the emblem of a controversial political party, enraging supporters of the Portuguese team
>The youth said that he is a big fan of Brazilian football star Neymar. And he ‘headed’ the bus because it was the colour of the Argentina football team, the youth told those who had gathered around at the spot.
>Recently, fans erected a 30ft-tall cut-out of Lionel Messi in a river in Kozhikode. Not to be one-upped, fans of Christiano Ronaldo and Neymar soon erected cut-outs of their idols.
India has it’s share of mad football fans. But since our own team sucks and is not qualifying to the world cup any time soon, people go on to support other teams.
All of these articles are from the state of Kerala. It is people of this state who form the bulk of the Indian migrant workers in Qatar, almost about half a million of these people live in Qatar.
I wasn’t aware that Portuguese people were so dark. Must be the moorish influence 😗

Quatari organization was so dumb that they used those indian people to impersonate English and German fans too. Very realistic… /s
Ah, the true Portugal experience!
Where are those supporters from ? Goa ? /s
I wonder if they also feel gay?
I mean, even the Portuguese prime minister is of Indian origin…

The flag is all wrong.
I don’t think even the oily dudes covered in FPF tattoos would mistake that with the Portuguese flag.
I don’t know if these men are just paid supporters.
But, Ronaldo and Messi, and by extension Portugal and Argentina has quite a big fan base in India. Another popular team is Brazil.
